Do you want to combine your love of arts & crafts while making a difference in your community?  San José Public Library is looking for enthusiastic community leaders to create mini magazines ("zines") to help promote TeenHQ programs. 
 

How You Will Make a Difference

Library volunteers will be able to create convenient eye-catching zines in order to provide the public volunteer opportunities and programs at a glance. 

Typical day/task

Volunteers are needed to:
  • Be able to cut and fold paper

Commitment/Schedule

Willingness to volunteer at least once a week for 2 hours for a 3 month duration. Schedule is dependent on the availability of the volunteer.

 

Qualifications

  • Prospective volunteers must be comfortable in using scissors
  • Age 13 or over
  • Must complete a fingerprint background check (at no cost to you) if over age 18
