Programmatic - Ukulele Class Instructor or Assistant
Volunteers Duties:
Helping set up the Community Room,
- turning the ukuleles before class,
- and cleaning up after class.
- This may also include organizing the ukulele music binders.
Volunteer Qualifications:
Ability to play the ukulele at the intermediate level or above.
- Ability to communicate with for older children, tweens, and teens in a positive way.
- This volunteer position is for adults and teens ages 15 and older.
- Complete a fingerprint background check, at no cost to you. Only required if you are 18 years or older. The background check is performed free, by the City of San Jose.
Schedule:
The schedule is flexible. We are looking at having weekly ukulele classes for older children, tweens, and teens.
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week. Schedule depends upon Community Room availability and librarian schedule.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to teach young people ages 8-17. Most students are likely to be in either elementary school or middle school.
