Programmatic - Crochet and Knitting Club Facilitator

How You Will Make a Difference

The Crochet and Knit Club Facilitator will play a pivotal role in bringing community members together through learning an art form and engaging with each other in a safe and welcoming environment.

Volunteers are needed to:

  • Teach any newcomers how to knit and/or crochet
  • Maintain a welcoming and friendly environment for program participants

Commitment/Schedule

Willingness to volunteer at weekly for at least a 6-month duration. Program is held on Tuesdays from 11am-12:30pm, though the shift would be 10:45am-12:45pm to include set up and clean up. 

Prospective volunteers should:

  • Know how to crochet and/or knit. You don't have to be an expert, but you should know at least the basics and be able to teach others how to do it.
  • Be comfortable in teaching others and engaging with new people 
  • Be dependable, punctual, and responsible
  • Complete a fingerprint background check, at no cost to you. Only required if you are 18 years or older

 

Qualifications Required

  • Age Must be at least 18+
  • Online Orientation for On-site Volunteers Completed Must be Yes
  • Oral and written communication skills in English Must be at least Medium
