Programmatic - Hobby, Craft and Skill Coordinator

Do you do Origami? 3D Printing? Sew? Make greeting cards? Or maybe you want to help people start butterfly gardens? There are so many possibilities, and we'd love to host a program for you.
How You Will Make a Difference
Sharing your passion and teaching community members fills a vital role for people looking to learn, grow and connect. Providing opportunities for personal expression strengthens social connections and improves mental and physical health.
Volunteers are Needed To:
- Teach eager learners your skill
- Work with library staff to create programs and acquire supplies
- Lead and facilitate teaching a class

Commitment/Schedule
- Once a week for at least a one-hour long class session, plus time for preparation, set up and clean up
- Minimum six-month commitment
Prospective Volunteers Should:
- Be age 18 or over
- Be comfortable in teaching participants of all ages
- Have proficiency in hobby, craft, and/or skill
- Possess the ability to take initiative and work independently
- Have strong oral communication skills
- Be dependable, punctual, and responsible
Note
Volunteers aged 18 or over must complete a fingerprint background check, at no cost to volunteer. Library staff will send instructions for fingerprinting.
