Library - Alviso Branch

The Julia Robinson Math Festival is an event that provides students with fun and meaningful math experiences to develop their mathematical, confidence, joy, and problem solving skills. In this program, there will be a variety of play-based, manipulative-based math puzzles and games suited for students in grades K - 8 as well as their parents/caregivers. 

As a Program Assistant, you will be expected to do the following:

• Prepare the Community Room for Math Festival programming, per Librarian instructions.
• Host/Facilitate one or more games for participants
• Encourage participants to try a variety of games
• Check if participants are correct on their activities
• Help clean up and put away games when program is over

Currently, the Math Festival at Alviso Branch Library occurs once a month on the 4th Sunday of each month and runs from 3:00 PM to 4:15 PM.
