Programmatic - Reading to Children
Reading to Children is a library program in which trained community volunteers share the joy of reading with children.
Would you like to read to children? Are you patient, possess excellent language skills, and love helping children? We want to help children become lifelong learners in a safe and inclusive environment. Apply to become a Reading to Children volunteer. Bilingual skills are a plus!
- For teens and adults ages 15 and older
- Must take Reading to Children training
- Fingerprinting is needed for volunteers ages 18 and older.
- Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week for a minimum of six months
Qualifications Required
- Age Must be at least 15+
- Oral and written communication skills in English Must be at least High
