Are you looking for a way to give to your community this winter? The Dr. Roberto Cruz Alum Rock Branch of San José Public Library is hosting a visit from Santa Claus, and we need enthusiastic volunteers interested in supporting this festive community event.

How You Will Make a Difference

Library volunteers play a pivotal role in bringing the community together for large programs such as our Santa Bob program.  Your main goal is to help create a welcoming space for the community.

Volunteers are needed to:

  • Set up stations
  • Maintain the line
  • Pass out materials
  • Clean up

Commitment/Schedule

Willingness to volunteer for 1-4 hours on December 10th, 2022, between 11am and 3pm.

Prospective volunteers should:

  • Be comfortable engaging with youth and families
  • Possess the ability to work independently
  • Be dependable, punctual, and responsible

Language Skills

  • If you are willing and able to communicate with library visitors in more than one language, please let us know.

Qualifications Required

  • Age Must be at least 15+
  • Online Orientation for On-site Volunteers Completed Must be Yes
