Programmatic - Bilingual Reader to Children
Give children the joy of reading by reading aloud to children in Spanish and English at the Library. Reading occurs in the library's children's area at designated times throughout the day. Specialized training is provided to all incoming volunteers. Fingerprint clearance required for volunteers 18 or over.
- For teens and adults ages 15 and older
- Must take Reading to Children training
- Fingerprinting is needed for volunteers ages 18 and older.
- Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week for a minimum of six months
Qualifications Required
- Age Must be at least 15+
- Oral and written communication skills in English Must be at least Medium
- Oral and written communication skills in Spanish Must be at least Medium
- Reading to Children Training Completed Must be Yes
