The Wee Explore Playspace was funded by the Sharks Foundation for children ages 0-5 to let their imagination run wild amidst interactive learning panels.  

How You Will Make a Difference

Since the Wee Explore Playspace structure will be used by young children, volunteers will be needed to assist with daily cleaning. Volunteers will be trained by a staff member on proper cleaning methods. 

Volunteers are needed to:

• Clean touchpoint areas (e.g. pegs, turning wheels, balls, knobs, pegs, pull outs) with the appropriate cleaner
• Follow instructed directions
• Be physically able to bend, stoop and kneel for an extended period of time

Commitment/Schedule

Volunteers are required to commit to at least 1 hour per week for a 6-month duration. Shifts are available Monday through Saturday from 9 AM-10 AM.

Prospective volunteers should:

• Be comfortable in engaging with youth and families 
• Possess the ability to take initiative and work independently
• Be dependable, punctual, and responsible
• Complete a fingerprint background check, at no cost to you. Only required if you are 18 years or older
