Programmatic - Teen Program Facilitator (In-Person)
Are you a teen (age 13-18) who wants to lead or assist 1+ other teens with an in-person program at the West Valley Branch Library? Please submit a program proposal for consideration first. The Library generally needs 2-3 months of advance time to plan, schedule, and promote any approved programs.
How You Will Make a Difference
This position is for teens who either lead their own library program(s) (ages 15-18) or assist with a teen-led library program(s) (ages 13-18) that can help others achieve academic success. That would include math, coding, robotics, debate, art, or any other subject.

Volunteers are needed to:
- Be comfortable engaging with youth and families
- Communicate with library staff by e-mail and/or Zoom/phone call
- Possess the ability to take initiative and work independently and/or in groups
- Be dependable, punctual, and responsible
- Recommended that you are age 15-18 to lead a program and age 13-18 to assist with a program
Prospective volunteers should:
- Complete an online orientation and in-person safety/volunteer orientation for in-person volunteering
- Complete a fingerprint background check at no cost to you if you are 18 or turn 18 while you will volunteer
