Library Services - SJPL Works Tech Docent
San José is California’s 3rd largest city and the 10th largest in the country. Although the local unemployment rate is 5%, the under employment rate (those working part-time that want full time work or those working in careers not aligned with their skill set) is between 25-35%. As a SJPL Works Tech Docent you can connect job seekers and small business owners to the critical resources and services they need to succeed.
SJPL Works features collaborative workspaces with technology and productivity tools, meeting spaces with videoconferencing, specialized collections and classes, and much more. Tech Docents are needed to give introductory tours of the space’s resources and assist with basic to intermediate technology questions and trouble shooting.
