Programmatic - Citizenship Class Volunteer
In need of a Spanish-speaker.
Position Overview: Help new Americans become citizens! Together, volunteers & library staff provide tools & knowledge needed to pass the citizenship exam. Sessions take place weekly.
Responsibilities:
- Help individuals prepare for the naturalization exam
- Have a general understanding of the citizenship process
- Work with library staff & other volunteers as a team
Qualifications:
- Knowledge or experience with the naturalization process
- Respectful of individuals of multicultural & diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
- Good interpersonal & communication skills
- Strong work ethics
Commitment:
- 6 months minimum
- Attending 1 hour sessions every other Saturday at the Seven Trees Library
Training/Support Available:
- Assistance & ongoing support from library staff throughout the program
- Training & support from library staff & USCIS
- Library materials (i.e. printouts, guides, etc.), data, & technology

Fingerprint clearance required for volunteers 18 or over.
