STEM - STEM Program Volunteer Teen/Adult
Do you have a passion for teaching and an interest in STEM activities like Robotics? Building paper roller coasters? Studying chemical reactions? There are so many possibilities, and we'd love to have your assistance at Pearl Avenue programs.
Pearl Avenue Branch Library is looking for teen and adult volunteers who want to share their skills and interests with the community to come assist at our STEM Programs, like STEM Saturday. We are looking for volunteers who can commit a couple hours a week to share their passion! Please provide a brief description of your program idea in the Hobbies & Skills section when applying.
Prospective volunteers should:
- Age 13 or over
- Ages 18 and over must complete a fingerprint background check (at no cost to you)
- Comfortable in teaching participants of all ages in a classroom or 1-on-1 setting
- Be willing to volunteer at least once a month for a 6 month duration. Schedule is dependent on the availability of the volunteer.
Qualifications Required
- Age Must be at least 13+
- Oral and written communication skills in English Must be at least High
- Skilled in basic internet, email, and Microsoft Office Must be Yes
- Online Orientation for On-site Volunteers Completed Must be Yes
