Programmatic - Program Leader

  • Are you interested in serving as a program presenter for one of our library programs? We are looking for community members who have skills they'd love to share. Examples include: Sewing Class Instructors, Crochet Club Instructors, Coding Class Instructors, and Book Club Leaders.

    How You Will Make a Difference

    Program Leaders help enhance the library’s mission of providing services that are known and valued by the culturally diverse community. The goal of a Program Facilitator is to create an opportunity for the community to come together to learn new skills and meet new people. 

    Volunteers are needed to:

    • Lead library programs with the supervision of staff
    • Communicate comfortably with the public
    • Provide feedback and offer suggestions for achieving the best program outcome
    • Communicate with staff regarding program needs

    Commitment/Schedule

    Schedule is dependent on the availability of the volunteer for a 6-month duration. 

    Prospective volunteers should:

    • Be comfortable working with all age groups
    • Be dependable, punctual, and responsible
    • Complete a fingerprint background check, at no cost to you

Qualifications Required

  • Age Must be at least 18+
  • Oral and written communication skills in English Must be at least High
