Virtual Volunteering - App Design/Coding Instructor for Kids (Virtual)
Bascom Branch Library is looking for engaging, patient, and knowledgeable tech volunteers to teach coding programs to children in a virtual setting. The coding tech volunteer/s would be responsible for creating a curriculum and leading the workshop.
We are currently looking for volunteers for fall and next year since our summer programs have already been filled.
We are especially interested in programs that deal with introducing youngsters to game design apps, like MIT App Inventor, however, we are also seeking volunteers to hold coding programs such as JAVA and Python, among others. Volunteers ages 18 and up most submit a background check which is performed free, by the city. Volunteers must be proficient in using Zoom technology (the library will use its own Pro Zoom account). Please note that COVID-19 vaccination verification is required for all volunteers, even virtual volunteers.
- Age Must be at least 15+
