Virtual Volunteering - Virtual Hobby, Craft or Skill Instructor

 Do you do Origami?  3D Printing?  Sew?  Make greeting cards?  Or maybe you want to help people start butterfly gardens?  There are so many possibilities, and we'd love to host a program for you. 
 
Santa Teresa Branch Library is always looking for volunteers who want to share their love for hobbies, crafts, and games in the community. We are looking for volunteers who can commit a couple hours a week to share their passion!  Due to the Shelter in Place Order, these programs will be run online.  Programs may be run live through Zoom, or recorded ahead of time.

Commitment/Schedule

For a live streaming program, volunteer must be available at the time of the program they are running.  For a recorded program, volunteer must allocate time to record themselves along with having equipment (smartphone or tablet is ok) to record with.  Librarian will handle video editing if needed.

Volunteer Qualifications:

  • 15 or older
  • Comfortable in teaching participants of all ages
  • Proficient in the hobby, craft, or game they would like to teach

Qualifications Required

  • Age Must be at least 15+
  • Oral and written communication skills in English Must be at least Medium
