Programmatic - Fiber Arts (crochet/knit/embroidery, etc.) Facilitator
Love crocheting. knitting, embroidery, or other fiber arts? We are looking for someone who would like to run a program for either families or adults.
Brief Summary of Activity: Host a social circle (where participants can work on existing projects) and/or teach an introductory course for either families or adults.
How You Will Make a Difference: Fiber arts is an excellent activity for all ages to connect with each other, learn a new skill, as well as practice hand dexterity and pattern-making.
Typical Day or Task: Sign in, pick up your volunteer lanyard, and ask Staff to let you into the Community Room.
Set up tables and necessary equipment at the beginning and clean up at the end. Sign out and log number of participants on volunteer clipboard before end of shift.
Benefits: Help participants learn or practice a hobby that will help them connect with others as well as relax for leisure purposes.
Commitment or Schedule: Please be willing to commit to at least six months of volunteering.
Qualifications: Volunteers 18 and over are welcome to apply. You will need to be fingerprinted.
