Camp DCL - Camp DCL: Aladdin Theatre Camp

Enjoy spending time with children? Love theatre?

We are looking for energetic & outgoing teen volunteers who are team players and willing to learn leadership skills to serve as week-long camp volunteers. 

At Camp DCL: Aladdin Theatre Camp, you’ll be working with campers ages 8-12 each afternoon from 12:30pm-4:30pm (Monday-Thursday) and 12:30pm-6:00pm on Friday.

Volunteers will:

  • Engage in “classroom” duties – greeting campers, passing out equipment and supplies, checking in with campers while on break. 
  • Support the camp aide and camp instructor. 
  • Set up and clean up the room each day. 


Volunteer spots are limitedOnce you register for this opportunity, a Volunteer Services Coordinator will reach out to discuss next steps to ensure you are a good fit for this roleAccepted volunteers are required to watch a 10-minute training video and pass a quiz at least 5 days before the camp starts. 


Library staff will be present for ongoing support throughout your shiftCamp volunteers will be provided with a free T-shirt and DCL water bottleSnacks will be available. 


PLEASE NOTE: These are week-long opportunitiesBy registering below, you are available for the entire week, Monday through Thursday, June 24 - June 27, 12:30pm-4:30pm and Friday, June 28, 12:30pm-6:00pm for the performance.

If this is your first time volunteering for Douglas County Libraries, a Volunteer Services Coordinator will reach out to schedule a 15-20 minute new volunteer orientation prior to your first shift. 

If you need to cancel, please do so at least 4 days in advance to allow us time to find another volunteer to fill this important spot.
