Are you interested in mentoring a younger child and being their Reading Buddy?

Teen volunteers (ages 13-18) who love to read and enjoy working with children may apply to be Big Buddies in our Reading Buddies program. Each selected big buddy will be trained and paired with a child (grades 1-3) to help them become a stronger reader.

Each week, Big Buddies will spend 30 minutes preparing, followed by one hour with their Little Buddies reading and engaging in literacy games.

Volunteer spots are limitedOnce your application is received, it will be reviewed by a youth librarian. Applying for this volunteer opportunity does not guarantee a position. You will be contacted for the next step in the process.

If selected as a Big Buddy, Volunteers must commit to attending all 8 sessions with their little buddy.

The application deadline is January 31, 2025.
