Library Events & Programs - Outdoor Storytime Helper

We are looking for 2 volunteers every Wednesday morning in June and July to help with our Outdoor Storytimes.

Volunteer will help staff take Storytime materials to Discovery Park, set up, crowd management, and breakdown.    During Storytime, they will model what the storytellers are asking the audience to do to to increase participation and be available for other tasks as needed.  Volunteer are advised to bring sunscreen, water and wear comfortable clothing. Please sign up for multiple shifts if you are able.

Volunteers are very important to our library operations, so we appreciate your time and commitment.

If this is your first time volunteering for our branch, you will need to schedule a time for a brief orientation by contact Brenda MacIntosh at bmacintosh@dclibraries.org.

If you need to cancel, please do so at least 4 days in advance to allow us time to find another volunteer to fill this important spot.
