Literacy & Outreach

Interested in facilitating a conversation group of adult English language learners to gain confidence with their speaking and listening abilities?

This is a rewarding and unique opportunity to lead and engage with new members of our community who have different language backgrounds. The focus is on fun and useful conversations. Role playing, music, games and laughter are encouraged! Group participants consist of intermediate and advanced adult English learners.

Training includes a 2.5-hour orientation and observation of three sessions by another trained volunteer facilitator.

After each session, facilitators will complete a report form. The Literacy & Community Outreach Specialist is available for resources and support.
