Library Events & Programs - STEAM Book Club Volunteer
Do you enjoy Science? Do you enjoy working with children? Then the STEAM Book Club is the opportunity for you! Volunteers will work with children ages 8-12. DCL Staff will provide guidance throughout the duration of the program. Staff will briefly have a discussion about a selected book and then volunteers will work with children on different science experiments. Volunteers will assist with set up and tear down, assist at an assigned station, discuss the experiments, and troubleshoot when necessary.
If this is your first time volunteering with us, please email Kim at kmcclintock@dclibraries.org to schedule a time for a brief orientation.
IMPORTANT: You must apply to be a library volunteer and once accepted, log back into your volunteer profile to sign up for shifts.
If you need to cancel, please do so at least 4 days in advance to allow us time to find another volunteer to fill this important spot.
