Library Events & Programs - Author Event - The Ofrenda That We Built: Jolene Gutierrez

Love a great author? So do we, and we'd love your help at this special event!

Jolene Gutierrez will speak about her children's book, The Ofrenda That We Built. The author will read the book and attendees will be able to make their own sugar skull craft using marshmallows with food friendly markers. Volunteers will help set up, assist families with the craft, and help with clean up.

No advance training is necessary. Library staff members will show you how to help and will be present for ongoing support.

If this is your first time volunteering for Douglas County Libraries, please email Jen Armendariz at jarmendariz@dclibraries.org to schedule a 15-20 minute new volunteer orientation prior to your first shift.

If you need to cancel, please do so at least 4 days in advance to allow us time to find another volunteer to fill this important spot.
