Camp DCL - Camp DCL: Science of Superheroes Lego

Enjoy spending time with children? Love Lego's and Superheroes?

We are looking for energetic & outgoing teen volunteers who are team players and willing to learn leadership skills to serve as week-long camp volunteers. 

At Camp DCL: Science of Superheroes Lego, you’ll be working with campers ages 5-10 each day from 8:30am to 12:30 pm. 

Volunteers will:

  • Engage in “classroom” duties – greeting campers, passing out equipment and supplies, checking in with campers while on break. 
  • Support the camp aide and camp instructor. 
  • Set up and clean up the room each day. 

  

Volunteer spots are limitedOnce you register for this opportunity, a Volunteer Services Coordinator will reach out to discuss next steps to ensure you are a good fit for this roleAccepted volunteers are required to watch a 10-minute training video and pass a quiz at least 5 days before the camp starts. 

  

Library staff will be present for ongoing support throughout your shiftCamp volunteers will be provided with a free T-shirt and DCL water bottleSnacks will be available.

PLEASE NOTE: These are week-long opportunitiesBy registering below, you are available for the entire week, Monday through Friday, June 16th-20th, 8:30am to 12:30 pm .

First time volunteering for Douglas County Libraries? Please email Tracy Martinez to schedule a required new volunteer orientation before your first shift.
