Library Events & Programs - Flock to the Library: Tropical Bird Art

We would love YOU to volunteer at this summer program for kids!

As a supplement to our Summer Reading Program, DCL is hosting "Flock to the Library: Tropical Bird Art" at the Philip and Jerry Miller library in Castle Rock on Tuesday, July 9th. Attendees (ages 5-11) will create their own tropical bird wall art using watercolor paints and colored streamers.

Energetic and outgoing volunteers will help set up, assist with activities if needed, and put the room back in order at the end. No advance training is necessary. Library staff will show you how to help and will be present for ongoing support.

If this is your first time volunteering at Douglas County Libraries, please email Jen Armendariz at jarmendariz@dclibraries.org to schedule a 15-20 minute new volunteer orientation.

If you need to cancel, please do so at least 4 days in advance to allow us time to find another volunteer to fill this important spot.
