Camp DCL - Camp DCL: Art Camp (PM)

Enjoy spending time with children? Love Art? 

We are looking for energetic & outgoing teen volunteers who are team players and willing to learn leadership skills to serve as week-long camp volunteers. 

At Camp DCL: Art Camp (PM), you’ll be working with campers ages 5-10 each afternoon from 12:30pm-4:30pm. 

Volunteers will:

  • Engage in “classroom” duties – greeting campers, passing out equipment and supplies, checking in with campers while on break. 
  • Support the camp aide and camp instructor. 
  • Set up and clean up the room each day. 


Volunteer spots are limitedOnce you register for this opportunity, a Volunteer Services Coordinator will reach out to discuss next steps to ensure you are a good fit for this roleAccepted volunteers are required to watch a 10-minute training video and pass a quiz at least 5 days before the camp starts. 


Library staff will be present for ongoing support throughout your shiftCamp volunteers will be provided with a free T-shirt and DCL water bottleSnacks will be available. 


PLEASE NOTE: These are week-long opportunitiesBy registering below, you are available for the entire week, Monday through Friday, July 22 - July 26, 12:30pm-4:30pmThis camp has morning and afternoon shift commitments availableIf you would like to help all day, you are welcome to register for overlapping shifts. 

If this is your first time volunteering for Douglas County Libraries, a Volunteer Services Coordinator will reach out to schedule a 15-20 minute new volunteer orientation prior to your first shift. 

If you need to cancel, please do so at least 4 days in advance to allow us time to find another volunteer to fill this important spot.
