Weekly Volunteer Roles - Coffee Chat Host Volunteer
Do you enjoy creating social connections and enjoy building relationships among older adults? The Coffee Chat volunteer serves as host of the weekly branch Coffee Chat: providing hospitality, welcoming new attendees, sparking conversation, and building relationships among adult attendees.
This position requires:
- Volunteers age 21+ who enjoy engaging with older adults.
- Regular shift attendance: This is a weekly opportunity on Tuesday mornings from 8:00am-11:30am.
A Volunteer Services Coordinator will be in touch to schedule a brief discussion and new volunteer orientation. Training and support will be provided by a Customer Experience Librarian.
Cancellation Policy: Please let us know right away if you need to cancel due to an emergency or illness. Due to the difficulty of securing last-minute volunteer help, Douglas County Libraries normally requests a minimum of 4 days notice if you are unable to attend.
