Weekly Volunteer Roles - Coffee Chat Host Volunteer

Connect!

Do you enjoy creating social connections and enjoy building relationships among older adults? The Coffee Chat volunteer serves as host of the weekly branch Coffee Chat: providing hospitality, welcoming new attendees, sparking conversation, and building relationships among adult attendees.

This position requires:

  • Volunteers age 21+ who enjoy engaging with older adults.
  • Regular shift attendance: This is a weekly opportunity on Tuesday mornings from 8:00am-11:30am.

A Volunteer Services Coordinator will be in touch to schedule a brief discussion and new volunteer orientation. Training and support will be provided by a Customer Experience Librarian.

Cancellation Policy: Please let us know right away if you need to cancel due to an emergency or illness. Due to the difficulty of securing last-minute volunteer help, Douglas County Libraries normally requests a minimum of 4 days notice if you are unable to attend.
