Outreach Events - DCL Outreach Educator Volunteer - Brew Tour
Are you fun, outgoing, and enjoy talking to people? The DCL Brew Tour Outreach Educator is a community facing volunteer position that will work out in the community, promoting the DCL Brew Tour at various events and festivals around Douglas County between June and September.
This position requires:
- Dynamic, friendly volunteers who are 18+.
- Comfortable speaking with the public and working in a family setting that may serve alcohol, such as a brewery or family brew festival.
- Dependable transportation and ability to work at various locations in Douglas County.
- Commitment to volunteer at a minimum of 3 events throughout the summer (most are evenings and weekends).
- Training will be provided and must be completed before first shift.
The DCL Brew Tour is a partnership between local breweries, coffee shops, and DCL, taking place August–September. Brew tour participants earn points by checking in at participating breweries, coffee shops, and DCL brew tour events at our libraries. Volunteers and staff will promote the brew tour at various brew festivals across Douglas County leading up to the event and will help with events throughout the brew tour itself.
Cancellation Policy: Please let us know right away if you need to cancel due to an emergency or illness. Due to the difficulty of securing last-minute volunteer help, Douglas County Libraries requests a minimum of 4 days notice if you are unable to attend.
