Library Events & Programs. - Concierge Event: Wedding Helper

Do you love events? Our Events and Hospitality Team wants to recruit YOU to help with a wedding at the Highlands Ranch Library! Concierge Event Volunteers play a critical role in ensuring that community members who book a large event receive a premium quality experience. These volunteers supplement the work of our Events and Hospitality department.

Volunteers will help set up for the event in event spaces and in the public, open areas of the library. 

Volunteers will help:

  • Set up and teardown. This includes moving tables, chairs, and heavy furniture.
  • Carry heavy objects and transport customer items in boxes, crates, etc.
  • Set up decorations.
  • Handle food and beverages (including alcohol).
  • Help to facilitate during the event.

Note: The Events and Hospitality Staff will train and provide support. We recommend that volunteers wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Please also bring a water bottle and snack for this 5 hour shift. 

If this is your first time volunteering for our Douglas County Libraries, please e-mail Kim at kmcclintock@dclibraries.org to schedule a 15-20 minute new volunteer orientation prior to your first shift.

If you need to cancel, please do so at least 4 days in advance to allow us time to find another volunteer to fill this important spot.
