Current Opportunities - Coffee and Cinema! | Social Support | Pakenham

Coffee and Cinema! | Social Support | Pakenham

During these challenging times we need volunteers more than ever, to support isolated people in our community to feel socially connected again. If you’re a ‘people person’ and would like to make a difference to someone’s life, we would love to hear from you!

Sam* describes himself as reliable and kind, and is looking for an easy going volunteer who shares interests in football, going to the movies, and reading. Sam* also enjoys music from the 60s and 70's and loves musicals! He would like a companion who will transport and join him at a local cafe for a coffee and a chat. You may also enjoy going to the cinema or park together!

The selected applicant will provide companionship, and support Sam* to achieve his social goals. Valid driver’s license necessary. Practical communication skills and ability and confidence to work independently are a must. Induction, ongoing supervision and opportunities for professional development provided.
