Uniting Social Support Program keeps people connected to the community to support them to live a happy and healthy life. The program assists people to keep doing the things they love. Whatever ‘living life to the fullest’ looks like for them, we help to make it happen.

Paula* is interested in cooking, fashion, shoes, makeup and beauty. Paula also enjoys going on walks and visiting cafes. Uniting is seeking a volunteer with similar interests, a kind and calm nature, and effective communication skills to assist Paula* to reconnect with her community and interests. 

You'll need the ability to reconnect Paula* to her interests, including singing and dance. Be willing to share weekly/fortnightly visits with Paula* at her home or to share a coffee/social activity within the community. You will hold a valid Australian driver’s license and have access to a car that you will be prepared to transport Paula* in during visits. Practical communication skills and confidence to work independently are a must. Experience in the area of mental health will be highly regarded.

Induction, ongoing supervision and opportunities for professional development provided.
