Kent - Area Coordinator

Home Direct Area Coordinator

Are you looking for an opportunity to help pets? Would you like to use your organisational and communication skills to make a real difference to pets’ lives?  Do you live in the South East? Blue Cross is looking for a reliable volunteer to coordinate our Home Direct service in Kent, where cats that have been found new homes are rehomed by our volunteers.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate and support a team of volunteers
  • Support the rehoming of pets in the region
  • Liaise the Blue Cross volunteer team and the general public
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed and uploaded to our database
  • Coordinate all cats signed up to the service

What we are looking for:

  • Experience of caring for pets
  • Experience of managing people
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Competent, flexible and self-motivated
  • Preferably experience of rescue rehoming and volunteering
  • Good communication skills and confident talking to the public
  • Happy to work alone or with others
  • Friendly and approachable manner
