Media and Comms - Social Media Assistant

Are you keen to use your digital media skills to help transform the lives of pets? Your local Rehoming and Advice Unit is looking for a volunteer with the right mix of a passion for pets and slick social media skills to raise awareness of the charity’s work. This is an exciting role that will directly help pets find permanent new homes and help attract new volunteers to Blue Cross.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Updating and monitoring the site’s social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, twitter, Instagram etc.)

  • Liaise with Blue Cross’s digital team to ensure content and activity on social media platforms is in line with charity’s policies and guidelines

  • Answering or signposting queries on the site’s social media platforms in line with the charity’s social media policies and guidelines

 

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent social  media skills

  • Computer literate including Microsoft Windows, Word and some digital editing software

  • Good attention to detail 

  • Able to work comfortably in a team or alone

  • A willingness and ability to learn and follow instructions quickly and accurately
