Current Volunteer Opportunities

We would love to hear from volunteers interested in supporting residents of Alan David Lodge in our Aged Care Social Support Volunteering Program. Our Lifestyle Staff develop activity programs to engage with the interests and abilities of the residents and support staff.  The programs run daily and are regularly refreshed. 

If you have a skill you would like to share or are happy to assist with a variety of activities our residents and Lifestyle Staff will appreciate your company and assistance! The role of the volunteer is to assist with setting up / packing up program equipment and assisting residents during the activity to ensure they get the best out of it.  A friendly outlook, a willingness to have a go and share an interest or activity are the key things required.  Company and a chat can really brighten our residents day.  We want it to be fun for everyone!

All Barwon Health Volunteers undergo a full on-boarding / training program and in addition you will be paired with a staff member or experienced volunteer for buddy shifts while you become comfortable with the role.  You will get to meet new people and contribute to the well being of our residents in a supported way.

Note - Aged Care Volunteers are required to have 3 COVID and current Influenza immunisations, as well as an NDIS screening check.  We can assist you with coordinating this if needed.
