Ceramics - Ceramics Open Studio
The Cedar Hill Arts Centre houses a ceramic, a dance, and two visual arts studios. Volunteers support programming in the ceramics studio by assisting with studio operations. This role is ideal for someone with an interest in community recreation, the arts, and ceramics.
Responsibilities:
- Take attendance and help patrons check in
- Follow the direction of staff
- Give timekeeping reminders to program participants
- Clean the program area
- Must wear close-toed shoes and clothes that can get messy and wet
Qualifications:
- 19 years old or older
- Friendly, responsible, flexible, and able to follow direction
- Able to work with minimum supervision
- Proficient in English
- Willing to complete a free background check with Vulnerable Sector search
- Prior experience with ceramics an asset, but not required
Commitment and Schedule:
Maximum of four hours per week with a minimum commitment of eight weeks. Daytime and evening shifts on weekdays and weekends, depending on the studio schedule.
Working Conditions:
Indoors. Volunteers will be standing, walking, sitting, lifting and carrying short distances (up to 45lbs).

- Complete a free Police Information Check and free online Child Protection training module
- Submit paperwork: Waiver, Code of Conduct, and (optional) Photo/Video Release
- Attend an onsite orientations
