The Salvation Army - Maplewood

Food Pantry - Pantry Associate

Pantry Associates work with the Corps Social Worker in completing tasks required to carry out weekly and monthly pantry's.   Here, at the Maplewood corps we have an open pantry each Wednesday for the community.  In addition to this, we also offer "Mobile Mart", which is like an outdoor stop and go grocer, on the 3rd Friday of the month.

Pantry Associates are typically needed 2-3 times per week, but may be asked to assist more or less depending on the needs of the Social Service Department.

Basic Requirements for Pantry Associates:

  • Lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Assist in frequent unloading trucks or other large vehicles with food donations
  • Help those visiting the pantry in taking food to their vehicles
  • Assist with set up and carrying out Wednesday Pantry's
  • Assist with set up and carrying out Mobile Marts

If you are interested in volunteering in our Food Pantry as a Pantry Associate please following the prompts and complete your volunteer application.  Once your application and background check have cleared, you will receive a phone call from either our Social Worker or our Office Manager to set up your first day.
