Day Camp - Day Camp Counselor Aide
The Salvation Army Gateway Corps is looking to staff the summer Day Camp positions with volunteer counselor aides. The volunteer will:
Assist with an assigned group of campers in the program helping with games, crafts, music, and recreation. Be accountable to assist with safety of campers. Always place campers first and provide a safe, fun, and wholesome environment that is conducive to growth and a positive experience. Help and encourage with the planned assigned small group in the scheduled activities each week. Activities will include crafts, nature, songs, games, opening and closing ceremonies, outdoor events. Identify and respond to leaders with camper behavior issues. Ensure that the site is kept clean, organized, and free of litter. Know and understand ALL emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
