Treatment - Residential Services Volunteer

The Salvation Army's Midtown Service and Treatment Center is looking for volunteers to assist in our Residential Detox and Treatment Services department on Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. while staff are in meetings or training sessions.  Volunteers will be on hand for residents not attending classes and organize games during the 3:30 class time as needed.  Volunteers will also answer the phones, providing basic information and taking messages.  

Volunteers must be age 18 or older.  A background check is required.  Safe From Harm training is required within 30 days and will be provided by The Salvation Army.  Other training will be provided as necessary.  

This volunteer position is ideal for college students wanting to explore the field of drug treatment and counseling and for those with a knowledge of health care, social services, counseling, and related fields of study.

  • How much can you lift comfortably? Must be at least 10 lbs
  • Safe From Harm Expiration Date Must be Basic
  • Which age category do you belong? Must be at least 18 or older
