Housing - Railton Practicum - Residential Social Servicces Coordinator
Position Summary: This positions links tenants within the Railton Apartments to supportive services or medical services provided by public agencies or private practitioners within the general community. The service coordinator may assess service needs, determine eligibility for public services, and work with other community agencies to meet clients needs. Position is expected to comply with and meet The Salvation Army, Federal, State and Local policies and standards.
Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor’s degree or matriculation in social work, psychology or other related field, accompanied by at least one year of work experience in human service delivery, administration, or management. Must be a team player, a self-starter, and perform well with minimum supervision. Demonstrated knowledge of community social services agencies and the ability to network with them essential. Demonstrated working knowledge of supportive services and other resources for senior citizens and non-elderly disabled in the area served by the project. Demonstrated ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve and provide results for the elderly and disabled served. Computer literacy, valid driver’s license, pass TSA MVR, and reliable transportation are required. Good communication and conflict resolution skills are essential. Completion of TSA Safe From Harm training is required.
