Family Haven Practicum Student - Social and Economic Development Practicum Student

Duties:
· Shelter services: Work directly with families to provide shelter and prevent future homelessness. Attention will be focused on the shelter care services that include providing support to those families in shelter care and assisting with case work management.
· Social services: Actively participate in the distribution of food, resources, and other emergency social service assistance. Learn about and connect with area agencies, ensuring and providing clients with a continuum of care.
· Pathway of Hope: Work within this new programming offering clients intensive case management with a focus on goal setting, linkages to community resources, and asset building.
Other Duties:
Conduct classes on financial education for families
Collaborate with other organizations
Assist with Christmas Distribution

Qualifications Required

  • Background Check
  • How much can you lift comfortably? Must be at least 10 lbs
  • Which age category do you belong? Must be at least 18 or older
