Clerical Opportunities - Office Assistant- Volunteer Department
The Salvation Army Divisional Headquarters is looking for an Office Assistant to help with the organization by assisting running of the daily administrative operations of the department.
The ideal candidate will be a hard-working individual able to undertake a variety of office support tasks. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail. The candidate will float between department teams as needed but will mainly support the Volunteer Department. Great opportunity to get experience in an non-profit organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize office and assist associates in ways that optimize procedures
- Perform receptionist duties when needed
- Assist with mailings and card writing projects
- Some data entry possible
- Other duties specifically around coordination of special events, or as assigned
Requirements:
- Background clearance required
- Be courteous and personable when dealing with the public
- Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented
- Respect and maintain confidentiality of The Salvation Army volunteers, partners, and donors
- Familiarity with word programs (Excel, Word, etc..) a plus
Training
- Attends Safe from Harm Training (provided by The Salvation Army)
