Emergency Social Services - Regional ESS Volunteer Driver
This volunteer will drive a box truck or van to pick up food and donated goods from sources and deliver tho the various regional Emergency Social Services sites. Work includes operating a fork lift to move pallets. The majority of the work to be done in this position will be of the physical labor type.
Hours are mornings Monday-Friday the 1st week of the month; Thursday-Friday the 2nd week of the month; and Friday the 3rd week of the month.
Appropriate state driver's license is required (Class E for MO) and must pass The Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check. Must have or be able to obtain certification ond operate forklift. Basic communication skills both verbally and in writing are required. The ability to complete simple paperwork as well as retrieve and submit receipts/bills of lading.
