Adaptive Recreation - Adaptive/Therapeutic Recreation Volunteer
The Adaptive Recreation team with the City of Roseville is seeking energetic and passionate volunteers who are interested in making a difference through play. Under the direction of the Recreational Therapist (RT), volunteers will assist with facilitation of a range of programs that serve individuals with disabilities. Activities include, but are not limited to, sports, arts and crafts, social events, and educational workshops.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with set up/clean-up of programs
- Communicating instructions to participants and leading activities in small groups
- Implementing facilitation techniques such as modeling, positive reinforcement, redirection, and hand-over-hand
- Provide one-on-one support to participants
- Reporting observations to the RT
- Attend/complete mandatory trainings
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 16
- Ability to assist with pushing a mobility device (such as a wheelchair)
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable with communicating directions to a small group.
