Corps Volunteer Positions - Reception
Who: A mature adult familiar with or able to learn quickly, how to use a multi line telephone system. Familiarity with other office equipment (copier, computer) helpful, but not necessary
When: Weekdays (2 “shifts” daily) 8:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Time Commitment: 4.5 hours weekly minimum, you may sign up for multiple shifts, but we ask that you cover whole shifts.
General Details:
Answer telephones (using the approved greeting, which is scripted), give appropriate information, transfer calls or take messages as appropriate.
Greet people as they come thru the front door, direct them as necessary
Be courteous and compassionate, friendly but maintain appropriate professionalism.
May be asked upon to make copies, fill envelopes or receive donations or payments. (All monies must be handled according to Salvation Army Policies)
