Adopt-A-Stream - Adopt-a-Stream with NTRR of Cottonwood Creek at SE 14th Street Bridge
All kayaks have been reserved as of 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. If you are bringing your own watercraft, please feel free to sign up for the event.
Cottonwood Creek off of SE 14th Street, parking at Hobbs Williams Elementary, 1635 SE 14th Street. The loading zone will be marked with traffic cones, nearest address is 1427 SE 14th St.
This is a water-based cleanup.
Paddlers may bring their own kayak, canoe, etc. All paddlers must wear a PFD (personal flotation device) when on the water.
If you need a free kayak and gear rental, please email amaron@gptx.org by Tuesday, May 7 at 5 p.m.
All free kayak and gear rental requests must be submitted by 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
PFD, personal flotation device, is required for every volunteer.
What to wear: Long pants
Layers appropriate for weather
Close-toed shoes or rain boots
Sunscreen and insect repellent
We will have bottled water available. However, in an effort to reduce waste, we ask that you bring your own filled reusable water bottle.
Boxed lunches will be provided.
