📃This volunteer opportunity will help to support the production of Lifeline’s "Threads by Goody Bag" range by assisting in the creation of upcycled fashion pieces that celebrate individuality, reduce textile waste, and raise funds for crisis support services.

As a Threads Garment Construction Assistant, you’ll be helping create sustainable fashion that directly supports Lifeline’s crisis support services and reduces textile waste. Our products are made from rejected materials and are sold in select Lifeline stores to raise vital funds. You’ll be working in the Threads workspace inside the Lifeline Warehouse at Geebung – a dedicated area equipped with industrial sewing machines, cutting tables, and tools.

The work is hands-on, creative and rewarding. Volunteers are asked to complete tasks such as cutting, pinning and preparing pieces for assembly. You will have guidance and support from the Threads project leader and other team members. The warehouse welcomes volunteers from Monday to Thursday.
