📃 This volunteer opportunity will help to bring a little flavour and fun to our residents' week 

Do you enjoy and old-fashioned sausage sizzle and a good chat?    Then we have the perfect volunteer position for you. 

We are looking for cheerful people who are great at conversation and sharing a few laughs around the grill. 

Join us to make our BBQ lunch a more memorable experience for residents, one sausage at a time. 

📍Location: BlueCare | Woodlands Lodge Residential Aged Care Facility, 29 Melbourne Road, Arundel Qld 

👉🏼 About Us: Woodlands Lodge is much more than an aged care facility, for over 100 frail aged and elderly people it's their home. It may not be shiny and new like some other aged care facilities, but it offers a place where friendship, comfort and care come together. At Woodlands Lodge we believe the little things in life, like a weekly BBQ with friends, remain a personal and special experience. 

Please note that at the Residents request BBQs are held as gender specific and take place on alternative weeks for gentlemen and ladies.

🕑 Times: 10am to 1pm   Thursdays fortnightly - please note that at Residents request BBQs are gender specific and held alternatively for gentlemen and ladies    

💍 Commitment: Get started from as little as 3-4 hours Fortnightly

☑️ Skills and experience important for this role include: 

       ▪️ No chef skills required, just a love of good company and conversation 

        ▪ The ability to communicate with frail aged and older people in ways which are respectful and courteous
