This volunteer opportunity will help to This volunteer opportunity will be positioned at the front reception area which is the first point of contact for visitors and residents.   This volunteer supports the Community Office by helping with basic administrative tasks and enquiries.

This volunteer position would be shared between 2-3 people across the week and during business hours Monday to Friday,  8.00 am to 4.00 pm, part or full days. No previous experience is required, however the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people in a friendly and welcoming manner, both in person and on the phone, is essential.

Location: Arundel House, Community Office  29 Melbourne Road, Arundel Qld 4214

This team is the first point of contact for residents and visitors. The team work together to ensure everyone is welcomed and their enquiries are met in a timely, professional and courteous manner.

Tasks involved include:

Assist the administrative team to:

prompt visitors to sign in and out of the attendance register

prompt visitors to use appropriate PPE - masks, hand sanitiser

collect and distribute mail

answer phone calls and take messages

log room bookings for meeting requests

maintain the stationary cupboard

basic administrative duties - filing, typing, laminating, data entry etc

Times:

Flexible:  1/2 days or full day/s Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 4.00 pm depending on volunteers availability 

Weekdays (Morning, Afternoon)

Time Commitment: Minimum time commitment of 3-4 hours Weekly 

Requirements:

▪ Good communication skills written and spoken 

▪ Flu Vaccination

▪ Disability Worker Screening check

▪ Australian Federal Police check
