📃 This volunteer opportunity will help to enhance the wellbeing of the people we serve by providing valuable companionship, engaging them in one-on-one conversations and assisting with activities, reducing feelings of loneliness. 

As as activity and companionship assistant, you will build meaningful connections, share activities, and make a positive difference in their day by offering personalised care and support.  Through your presence and support, you will brighten someone’s day and foster genuine relationships that can have a lasting impact.

👉🏼 About Us: Our respite centre is a welcoming community surrounded by peaceful bushland and open spaces. We offer seniors a day filled with engaging activities and delicious meals, all provided by our close-knit, consistent team.

✅ What you’ll be doing:
▪️ Engaging residents in one-on-one conversations and providing companionship
▪️ Reducing feelings of loneliness by offering a listening ear and emotional support
▪️ Participating in shared activities that interest the resident
▪️ Helping to create a positive, caring environment through personalised interaction

▪️ Provide mentoring and advice on meal service to care staff (No food preparation or delivery)

🕑 Times: 3-4 hours fortnightly
💍 Commitment: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
