Woodlands Lodge is a home to people who frail aged and elderly, some experiencing dementia. It has a relaxed and inviting atmosphere including its own café which is set in a rotunda surrounded by lush gardens. The Diversional Therapy team tailor recreational and social activities to meet the needs of residents that make them happy and engaged with their peers and their local community. Volunteers are needed on Tuesday Mornings to assist the Diversional Therapy Team to ensure every resident has the opportunity to attend an activity of their choice.

📍Location: BlueCare, Woodlands Lodge Residential Aged Care Facility, 29 Melbourne Road, Arundel, 4214

💍 Commitment: 1-2 hours fortnightly

🕑 Times: 9am to 11.30am, longer if volunteer is available

☑️ Requirements of this role include: 

 ▪️ No previous experience in Aged Care or related fields is required. 

 ▪️ An initial interview following application will be conducted by the Volunteer Coordinator, followed by a meet and greet on site with the Diversional Therapy Team. 

▪️ A police check is essential prior to commencement.   The Volunteer Coordinator will assist applicants with this check which is free to volunteers. 

▪️ Uniting Care Orientation Training is mandatory prior to commencement and will be delivered by the Volunteer Coordinator either online or face-to-face.
